The Earthing Accessories Range

The fittings that complete the earthing system — connecting earth rods to conductors, bonding pipework and steelwork, providing inspection points, and improving the soil around the electrode.

Unitech’s earthing accessories cover every connection in a driven earthing installation: bonds and clamps tested to IEC 62561-1, copper tape earth mats, concrete inspection pits to IEC 62561-5, water sealing glands for through-wall rod sealing, soil improvement agents, and a full range of earth points for earthing structures and rebar.

  • Bonds & clamps to IEC 62561-1 — rod-to-tape and rod-to-cable clamps, U-bolt rod clamps, pipe bonds and tower clamps.
  • Earth mats — copper tape lattice mats up to 1200 x 1200mm.
  • Inspection pits to IEC 62561-5 — concrete pits giving access for testing and maintenance.
  • Water sealing glands — stainless steel glands, pressure tested to 200 PSI, for sealing earth rods through walls and tank floors.
  • Custom sizes on request — non-standard sizes can be supplied across the range.

Water Sealing Gland

Resistivity Enhancement Soil — RES 1

RES 1 is a conductive cementitious product used in the improvement of earthing electrodes. It lowers the overall resistance of the system by increasing the surface area, thus lowering resistance and increasing the overall capacitance. RES 1 is sold in powder form and can be used as is right out of the bag, or mixed with water into a slurry.
